Singapore’s biggest sake festival is returning for its 11th edition from 31 October to 2 November 2025, taking place at Jewel Changi Airport’s Changi Experience Studio this time.

The celebration will showcase over 400 labels of sake, shochu and artisanal spirits from Japan and beyond, where guests can sample them during free-flow tastings in two- to three-hour sessions. Ticket prices start from only $60/person, making it an unmissable experience for all sake enthusiasts.
Beyond the tastings, the festival promises an exciting line-up of programmes, including two sake masterclasses, a Halloween-themed party, live DJ performances, and the second edition of the Singapore Sake Awards. Festivalgoers can purchase rare sakes at special festival-only prices and also experience a Toyosu-style fish market featuring fresh produce.
Over 400 Unique Sake Labels
With hundreds of sake labels from more than 150 breweries, the festival is truly a paradise for sake lovers. Those looking for something different should try the Amabuki Junmai Daiginjo from Amabuki Shuzo Co from Saga Prefecture. This light-bodied sake exudes a sweet, banana-like aroma and is brewed with Jugemu rice – a relatively new sake rice variety developed from a cross between Yumeikkon and Yamada Nishiki. It pairs beautifully with fish and vegetable dishes.

Another standout is the Hiran Hyakka by Mori Brewery in Nagasaki Prefecture. Its label, featuring an adorable shiba surrounded by colourful sweets, pays tribute to the region’s legacy as the birthplace of Japanese confectionery. This limited-edition sake was specially crafted to complement desserts, yet also pairs delightfully with cheese and spicy dishes.
Premium Sake Tasting Experience
Sake Matsuri is offering a Premium Sake Tasting experience for the first time, with 5 tokens for $40 (VIP Passholders only need to pay $30). Each pour of premium sake will cost between one to three tokens, which allows discerning drinkers the rare opportunity to try some of the finest sakes.

The Gangi Sekirei Junmai Daiginjo from Yaoshin Shuzo Sake Brewery in Yamaguchi Prefecture is an unmissable highlight. This premium sake recently won the President’s Prize at Kura Master 2025, triumphing over 1082 other labels. Brewed with Yamada Nishiki, aka the king of sake rice, it offers an exquisite and elegant profile with a delicately clean finish.
Masterclasses at Sake Matsuri
Sake Matsuri festival will feature two on-site masterclasses on Friday, 31 October and Saturday, 1 November 2025.

Fizz, Funk and Umami: The Modern Sake Revolution, led by Hansel Tan, head sommelier and director of SAKE Street Singapore, proves that sake is not limited to tradition. Today’s innovative brewers are redefining the landscape with expressive flavours that surprise, challenge and excite the palate – think bitterness and creaminess to fizziness and more. Hansel’s passion is contagious – he’s the very reason we have fallen in love with sake!
Reimagining Sake Tasting: A Global Sommelier’s Perspective, led by Aaron Hao, Executive Director of Sake Base and owner of Craft Sake Shoten & Kitchen in Tokyo, offers a fascinating look at sake from an international perspective. This session covers the impact of glassware on flavour, inventive sake cocktails, and the art of sake pairing with modern versus traditional cuisine, perfect for anyone looking to elevate their sake knowledge.
Toyosu-style Fish Market
A Toyosu-style fish market will be making its debut at Sake Matsuri Festival 2025, bringing fresh, seasonal seafood and produce air-flown directly from Japan’s iconic Toyosu Market.

Handpicked ingredients will be expertly prepared by Japanese restaurant Tensi and Izakaya Yoppi’s head chef, Anthony Yong. Foodies can look forward to an enticing spread of sashimi, sushi, wagyu, and more, crafted to showcase the very best of Japanese cuisine.
