8. Sindy Durian – Family-run durian business in Balestier
Like most durian stalls in Singapore, Sinda Durian is a family-run business. Located in Balestier, they’ve been around for over 30 years now and was one of the first few that started selling the ‘Butter’ variety of durian. Golden yellow, buttery (hence the name) and incredibly sweet, this particular type of durian is literally a dessert in itself.
In order to keep up with the competition, they now also sell a variety of goodies such as durian puffs, cupcakes and other baked goodies infused with durian.
