Big Mountain Music Festival (BMMF) is a two-day music event that sees close to around 200 acts running across 9 stages. If you’re looking for something new and exciting, this Thai music festival is a great alternative. The lineup’s fresh and its music takes a bold step toward a whole different direction—in a good way of course.
The program features Thailand’s Luk-Thung country music, Moh-Lam folk songs, and also modern genres including rock, pop, indie, and electronica. The festival is set to take over The Ocean Khao Yai, Nakhon Ratchasima (Korat), with camping grounds, food trucks and stages.
Largest Outdoor Festival In Southeast Asia
Since Big Mountain Music Festival first made its debut back in 2010, its attendance of this has grown exponentially from 20,000 to 70,000 people with many folks coming from all over the world. It is currently the largest outdoor event in the whole of Southeast Asia.
In celebration of their tenth anniversary this year, they’re also building a huge 28-meter-tall stage that will host special performances from host hip hop DJs, EDM DJs and dancers.
Over 200 Artists from Indie, Pop, Country to Hip Hop
The line-up at this year’s event is massive to say the least, featuring over 200 artists—mostly Thai artists—, spanning everything from Thai folk music to pop, alternative-rock, indie and even EDM. Don’t worry if you don’t speak the language, because the music speaks for itself. Take it as an opportunity to discover unknown music and artists.
Artists include popular Thai rock bands Body Slam and Paradox as well as Thai pop singers, Peck Palitchoke and Oat Pramote, Thai rappers, DJs and many more. In addition to music performances, there will be comedy shows as well.
