Amidst all the action that Phuket—especially the Patong area—has to offer, it’s hardly a mystery to find yourself stumbling about in the dark past midnight, half-passed drunk and craving for a hot meal.
The entertainment hub of Patong is littered with bars and clubs and lurking close by, there’s always a joint selling tasty food that’ll soothe the soul.
We’ve rounded up 7 late-night food joints that serve sensational nosh for you to visit either before or after you’re done painting the town red. Hope this helps!
1. Coyote Mexican Bar & Grill – The best margaritas in town
Craving some hearty Mexican food during your Phuket getaway? This casual spot has you covered. The restaurant is broken into two distinct spaces, one specialises in Tex-Mex (Coyote) and the other, a steak-focused restaurant (Chicago Steak House).
Coyote’s claim to fame is largely attributed to their margaritas—who many recognise to be the best around—but their food stands up pretty sturdily on its own. Their burritos are awesome and their Pulled Pork Tacos, even more so.

2. Kaab Gluay Restaurant – Local eatery with >30 types of Thai salads
Kaab Gluay is a long-established restaurant located on Phrabarami Road in the northern part of Patong Beach. In this busy, semi-open-air roadside restaurant, you’ll find a smorgasbord of authentic Thai classics. Affordable, insanely delicious and available until the wee hours in the morning, expect a whole host of local delights such as red-curry prawns, classic noodles and stir-fries, and just about 30-plus takes on spicy Thai salads.

Opened in late 2018, MOJO Grill & Bar can be found in the heart of the bustling Patong district. The dining experience you can expect to have is anything but lacklustre. The restaurant features both indoor and outdoor seating as well as a cosy bar that boasts a plethora of tasty cocktails and a carefully curated wine list that sees different variations from around the world.
On the food front, the kitchen is run by Executive Chef Jeriko Van Der Wolf, a veteran culinary maestro who has worked with some of the best chefs in the world such as Joel Robuchon and Alain Ducasse. MOJO offers anything from great steaks, juicy burgers to risotto.

4. Naughty Nuri’s In The Forest, Phuket – Order their BBQ Ribs
Famous for their barbecued baby back pork ribs, Balinese-born Naughty Nuri’s is something of a prolific icon among religious meat eaters all over the world. Flipping through its menu, it’s hard not to drool. Our favourites include the signature, Naughty Nuri’s 1995 Signature BBQ Spare Ribs—a glorious rack of ribs, char-grilled and sauced to sweet, sticky perfection—as well as their Indonesian style Nasi Goreng and BBQ Satay.

Boasting a myriad of tasty nosh that spans anything from international cuisine to the best of Thai cuisine, take a break from the beach and fuel up at The Kitchen. Located on the fringe of the road directly facing the entrance to the notorious Bangla Road, here is where most people come to carbo-load before commencing the night’s revelries.
Start off with a punchy cocktail, a beer or a glass of vino and make your way to the realm of sharing plates. If you’re famished, definitely go for one of their grilled options. They have anything from grilled steak, flame-grilled burgers and an assortment of smoky meat skewers.

7. The Wok Patong – Good ‘ol Thai home-style cooking
While many restaurants in and around Patong strive to appeal to Western palates, The Wok doesn’t follow suit. Their menu leans toward local Thai cuisine with a strong influence of Chinese cooking. As its name implies, wok-fried dishes are key characters in their arsenal of offerings so ordering up a couple of stir-fries probably won’t hurt.
That aside, folks can tuck into a host of piquant salads as well as a variety of Thai curries.
