Joo Seng Teochew Porridge is highly recommended it if you are craving for food near Bukit Timah. Do expect to spend around S$10 per person, or slightly lesser. A simple and comforting meal for all.

To all Westies out there, I’m sure you have heard of or came across this famous stall. The well-known JW 491 Frog Porridge has received a lot of great reviews from bloggers, food critics and enthusiasts all over Singapore.
Like any other frog porridge stalls, JW 491 focuses on 3 main styles: claypot frog porridge, claypot dried chilli frog and claypot ginger onion frog. They often sell out so do head down earlier if you wish to try their awesome food.

7. Gu Zao Ren Seafood Taiwan Porridge
With two outlets—one in Changi and the other over at ABC Brickworks Market & Food Centre in Jalan Bukit Merah, Gu Zao Ren commands a significant fan base—all for their Taiwanese porridge and assortment of delectable zi char delights. The list of ingredients you can order to supplement your meal is almost endless ranging from several types of meat, vegetable and seafood varieties in a wide array of styles. Their chai poh omelette is very well done and their deep-fried pomfret fish with black bean sauce is a definite must to order.
