It’s a boogie wonderland and groovy times only at the revamped Lil’ Tiger. Hidden along the bustling Robertson Walk, this disco-themed cocktail bar sets itself apart from the neighbouring drinking spots with its far-out tipples and tantalising bar food.
Despite its 70s-inspired theme, you’ll find that Lil’ Tiger still has all the elements of a sleek speakeasy, with a snazzy disco ball, of course. If you’re all about that Saturday night fever, check out their guest DJ appearances over the weekends.
Psychedelic Cocktails at Lil’ Tiger
Lil’ Tiger’s new beverage programme features ‘gram-worthy tipples that taste as good as they look and are inspired by popular disco hits.
If you’ve been a patron since day one, you’ll also recognise some of the most popular signatures they’ve kept on the menu, such as The Grape Mistake ($23) and Rico Suave ($23).
Lil’ Tiger also offers a selection of classic tipples for cocktail enthusiasts who prefer things a little old school.
If you prefer something light and refreshing, go for Macho Man ($25), a whisky highball with notes of spiced pears. Made with Orientalist Dragon Whisky, spiced pears, Demerara, aromatic bitters and soda.
Boogie Wonderland ($25) reminded us of a herbaceous, less bubbly version of an Aperol Spritz, and still as refreshing. This light and refreshing tipple was made with Orientalist Gunpowder Gin, St. Germain, Aperol, lemon juice, simple syrup and tonic.
If you have a sweet tooth, try Get Lucky ($25), a poppin’ Midori and triple blended Orientalist Origins vodka-based cocktail topped with a berry-flavoured bubble. Get your phones ready for the ‘gram when the staff comes by with your drink and the bubble gun!
Last Dance ($25) is an oaky, smoky, and absinthe-forward concoction for cocktail enthusiasts, and just as its name says, it’s also the perfect, boozy drink to end the night with 😉 Apart from absinthe, it’s also made with Orientalist Dragon Whisky, cherry liqueur, and sweet vermouth.
If you’re not feeling a cocktail, Lil’ Tiger also offers a selection of wines and beers.
Food at Lil’ Tiger
Expect more than just classic bar bites such as the freshly made in-house Salsa & Chips ($10), Chicken Karaage ($13), and the savoury-sweet and perfectly grilled Corn Elote ($12); Lil’ Tiger’s new food menu caters to the dinner crowd as well.
Check out the all-time faves from the original menu, such as the juicy, tender Pork Schnitzel ($24), although we feel they could have done without the peas, Swiss Mushroom Burger ($16), and more.
Don’t pass on their desserts because their PB&J Chocolate Cake ($13) gives a particular establishment’s 20-layered-cake a run for its money. The peanut butter filling is crisp and savoury, balanced with the subtle jelly sweetness and a soft, moist chocolate cake – you’ll thank us after you’ve tried it.
You don’t have to be a huge disco fan to enjoy a night at Lil’ Tiger because there’s no shortage of good vibes, food and excellent tipples for all. So head down to check them out!
