Upon our visit to 100Labs previously, we chanced upon Nur Fayidha, an Indian eatery which offers a wide variety of local dishes 24/7; serving savoury rice/noodle dishes, meat and vegetable curries as well as a selection of over a dozen pratas.
Although such supper spots are common in Singapore, what makes them stand out from the rest is the amount of dedication they put into preparing their pratas.

Tissue Prata, also known as Roti Tissue, got its name due to its delicate, paper-thin structure. It’s made using a thin layer of batter which is then shaped into a cone. It’s usually coated with sugar and eaten with optional condiments such as ice cream. At Nur Fayidha, you can choose to order it without toppings for S$2.80. Alternatively, it can also be served with Strawberry or Chocolate sauce for S$3.50.
Strawberry Tissue Prata

The prata was served with a thin coating of sugar and salt before being drizzled with strawberry syrup. With its exceptionally brittle and wafer-thin texture, a portion can be broken easily by hand with little force, making this a great dish for sharing.
Maggie Goreng

Besides the Strawberry Tissue Prata (S$3.50), we also tried their Maggi Goreng Seafood and Egg Dosa. The Maggi Goreng Seafood (S$7) came with a variety of seafood i.e. prawn, fishcake and squid; it had a spicy kick when paired alongside the green chilli and a sweet, tangy flavour when mixed in with tomato sauce. An optional sunny side-up egg can also be added on for $1 to provide more depth to the dish.
Egg Dosa

The Egg Dosa is a popular South Indian dish, with a texture similar to that of a crepe. It’s made using a batter comprising seasoned eggs, lentils and rice; served alongside a mildly spicy Indian coconut chutney and dhal. The coconut chutney was slightly grainy and provided an aromatic, nutty flavour to the dosa.
Overall, this is a great place to enjoy an affordable supper. Located at a junction along Pahang Street, it’s hard to miss the restaurant because of its eye-catching mural!
