Taipei’s selection of craft beer bars is huge and we mean really. Just less than half a decade ago, you’d have to search high and low for craft beer. But now? The Taiwanese city brims with it. The craft beer scene is exploding and many young people are getting in on the craft beer action like it’s the latest TikTok trend.
Feeling thirsty? Drink yourself silly at any one of these 12 Taipei craft beer bars.

11. UGLY HALF BEER – Small Brewery in Wugu
A small brewery located in Wugu in New Taipei City, Ugly Half Beer is difficult to miss. Just look out for the warehouse facility covered with over-the-top graffiti. These folks have a thing for experimentation, as with most small-batch brewers, but they aren’t afraid to push the threshold of flavour.
For fans of bitter hops, we urge you to try their Double Happiness IPA, a delightfully hoppy brew that punches high with 8.88% ABV. If not, go for one of their seasonal offerings—we’re hugely intrigued by their newly-released Piña Colada Pale Ale.
