Ravers from all over the world are forced to accept the reality of music festivals being cancelled/postponed due to COVID-19. Engulfed by a whirlwind of solemn emotions, it’s almost depressing that we’re still nowhere near the clear. And if cancelling some of 2020’s most highly anticipated music festivals wasn’t bad enough… Clubs in most countries have been forced to close as well.
A silver lining in these horrible times has been a series of virtual “rave-a-thons” hosted by Insomniac founder, Pasquale Rotella. He has curated a whole host of acclaimed DJ acts to perform “live”, so you can rave from the comfort (and safety) of your home.
The 10th edition of the Electric Daisy Carnival in Las Vegas was postponed from this weekend to early October. But EDM fans can still party along with many festival favourites through the EDC Las Vegas Virtual Rave-A-Thon; a live stream event running from 5:00 PM on 15 May to 2:00 AM on 17 May 2020.
Artist Lineup
The stream will feature multiple stages broadcasting across two channels with all live and original sets from many artists originally scheduled to perform at Electric Dance Carnival Las Vegas 2020. During the live stream, DJ sets will be punctuated with interviews with DJs.
DJ sets to get seriously stoked about include the likes of David Guetta, Kaskade, Afrojack, Flosstradamus and Don Diablo along with Benny Benassi and Yellow Claw—just to name a few.
EDC Las Vegas Virtual Rave-A-Thon Set List
The 3-day virtual festival marks the debut of Rave Recovery; a relief fund created in collaboration with charitable organization In Place of War to assist dance music fans impacted by the COVID-19 crisis. A portion of the proceeds raised during the live stream will also support In Place of War’s emergency fund supporting some of the world’s most vulnerable communities in the global south during the pandemic.
