Beer aficionados listen up! The world’s craziest beer festival—Mikkeller Beer Celebration Tokyo 2019 (or MBCT’19)—is making a comeback.
Happening from 14 to 15 September at the Shibuya Stream Hall, this colossal event will play host to 40 breweries from all around the world featuring just over 320 brews in a variety of styles.
Hailed as one of the world’s best beer festivals, MCBT’19 brings together beer enthusiasts from all over to unite over their love for beer. For two days only, enjoy several uniquely brewed beers from over 40 breweries across Europe, USA and Asia. But the beers aren’t the only thing that’s international—the event is widely patronised by folks from all over the globe.
List of Brewers at Mikkeller Beer Celebration Tokyo
For the two-day event, expect dozens of different breweries present at Shibuya Stream Hall in Tokyo’s trendy Shibuya district to share their golden goodness with ale lovers from far and wide.
Unlike the Mikkeller beer event that’s held annually in Copenhagen, Denmark, enthusiasts can look forward to a bigger variety of craft brewers from Southeast Asia such as Young Master Ales (Hong Kong), Gwei-Lo (Hong Kong), Devil Craft (Japan), Taihu (Taiwan), Pastueur Street (Vietnam), Shigakogen (Japan) and plenty more!

Getting Tickets
Different tickets are available for the various tasting sessions on offer. The tickets are categorised by colour, each allowing participants to sample different varieties of beer.
Blue, yellow, red and green tickets allow participants to enjoy unlimited tastings of 80 beers from the 40 participating breweries for one session only (limited to only one glass per session). Each colour represents a different time slot.
Yellow Ticket (14 Sep, 11AM – 2.30PM): 12,500 JPY (Approx. S$164.50)
Blue Ticket (14 Sep, 4.30PM – 8PM): 12,500 JPY (Approx. S$164.50)
Red Ticket (15 Sep, 11AM – 2.30PM): 12,500 JPY (Approx. S$164.50)
Green Ticket (15 Sep, 4.30PM – 8PM): 12,500 JPY (Approx. S$164.50)
The gold ticket allows participants to have unlimited tastings of 320 beers from the 40 participating breweries and grants users a 20-minute early access. In addition, gold ticket holders will be entitled to a special gold glass as well as exclusive merchandise.
