The Other Room has launched a new cocktail menu and their inventive twists on classics are intriguing! Each drink is a delight for the senses and beyond the flavours, the experience was immersive. Think tarot card readings, unique food pairings, and many more.
Hidden at the lobby level of Singapore Marriott Tang Plaza Hotel, the award-winning speakeasy is accessible via an inconspicuous door. Imbibers are allowed inside upon pressing the doorbell, but be warned that a long waitlist is common on weekends.
Santa Muerte ($31++)
Their Santa Muerte is a bold, spiced take on the Mexican El Diablo, with jalapeño-infused mezcal, tequila Reposado, capsicum, raspberry liqueur, agave syrup, supasawa, and gusano salt served over cotton candy. Psst, in case you didn’t know… Gusano salt is a blend made from ground worms!
Peranakan Daiquiri ($28++)
Inspired by the flavourful Asian satay with peanut sauce, this clarified peanut butter rum cocktail is handcrafted with white vinegar and served with chicken satay for the ultimate pairing.
Bloody Sunday ($28++)
Bloody Sunday? Think Bloody Mary, but elevated with our signature house-spice mix and served with a fresh, plump oyster for an extra kick of umami. Bold, spicy, delicious!
Cocktails aside, The Other Room also serves a wide selection of whiskies. Why not order The 25 Year Old Flight (S$110++) where you’d be sipping on Bowmore 25YO, Bunnahabhain 25YO and Inchmoan 25YO Vintage 1992.
Fuel up their bar bite selections which include Bikini ($25++), a delicious iconic Spanish sandwich made with Jamon Iberico, cheese and truffle and Taro Borracho ($28++).
We have been to The Other Room several times over the past few years, and have taken several friends—both locals and overseas—here for its fabulous drinks and inviting ambience. It is a bar we personally love and will be revisiting again.
