Cafe by day and cocktail bar at night, Fiftyfive Coffee Bar is one of the newest kids on the block along Neil Road. They have recently launched a new cocktail menu titled ‘Seven Seas’, alongside a Japanese fusion menu crafted by Chef Artist-In-Residence, oohmahmee.
Inspiration Behind Fiftyfive Coffee Bar’s New Menu
Under the creative guidance owner Nick Liu, the famous artwork ‘Boats’ by his late great-grandfather, the renowned oil painter Liu Kang, serves as the inspiration for the culinary and beverage selections. This fusion of flavours and artistic presentation pays tribute to the imaginative spirit and rich heritage of the acclaimed artist.
Cocktails Sailing the flavours of the Seven Seas
Teaming up with a talented local mixologist specialising in artisanal cocktails, ‘Seven Seas’ exhibits a collection of seven distinct libations. These delightful concoctions encompasses an impressive variety of flavours, ranging from refreshing and fruity notes to rich and complex nuances.
Atlantic (Fruity, Fizzy) | 5% ABV
If you have a penchant for fruity flavours and prefer lighter alcoholic beverages, we’d recommend the Atlantic. Made with a delightful fusion consisting of sparkling sake, merlot grape juice, and a touch of lavender; this drink offers a refreshing experience, making it a perfect choice for those seeking an invigorating cocktail with a fruity twist.
Arctic (Citrusy, Floral) | 5% ABV
One of our favourites would be the Arctic. This tipple combines the invigorating and unique essence of green pea, along with the zesty kick of horseradish vodka, tangy yuzu sake, and the subtle sweetness of elderflower tonic.
Japanese Fusion Menu by oohmahmee at FiftyFive Coffee Bar
Ben, the visionary chef and owner of oohmahmee, has brought his culinary venture to life. During the lockdown, the concept took flight, with Chef Ben creating the perfect capellini dish for delivery. Now, at FiftyFive Coffee Bar, you have the opportunity to savour his exquisite and delectable creations.

Oyster lovers, you won’t want to miss out on these fresh large Hiroshima oysters. We were surprised to see how big and plump they were. Plus, there were even Hokkaido scallops and ikura served atop it!
oohmahmee + trout
This is the highlight of Chef Ben’s menu, and we can see why. We could taste the truffle notes in every bite of the capellini and the icing on the cake? The Hokkaido scallops and aburi trout that complemented the dish perfectly.
unadon + hirame engawa
Chef Ben emphasises on quality, which is evident in his unadon + hirama engawa dish. This dish showcases freshly grilled unagi kabayaki, and a delicate torched flounder fin. Each piece reflects remarkable freshness, allowing you to relish every bite with great satisfaction.
