Garden Beats Festival 2020: Party with Gioli & Assia, Foals & More

Garden Beats is Singapore’s very first carbon-neutral music festival. The experimental festival was built for a good cause and celebrates people’s passion for music and the arts. Returning for its sixth edition, it aims to continue inspiring folks from all walks of life by promoting a greener lifestyle.

Happening at Fort Canning Park, the one-day-only festival brings to the fore a slew of workshops and talks tailored to inspire, entertain and convey the message of sustainability.

As with the festival’s previous editions, Garden Beats 2020’s eco-friendly festival grounds will play host to esteemed local artists and a myriad of international headliners. While the full lineup has yet to be announced, phase one’s headliners reveal Foals, Sabrina Claudio and Glioli & Assia.

Conscious Living – Workshops & Talks

Following the success of previous events, 2020’s festival aims to better incorporate the message of promoting a greener lifestyle through employing the use of reusable tin cups in place of festival-friendly plastic cups. The event will also issue single-use plastic bans, 100% biodegradable paper cups and vegan food options.

Happening throughout the day, festival-goers can also partake in workshops and talks that will give attendees a better idea on why (and how) one should adopt conscious living and a sustainable lifestyle.

Art – Art Jamming & Installations

Garden Beats Festival serves as a platform for all artists to showcase various forms of performing, visual and interactive arts. At the Art Lane, festival-goers can engage and interact with large-scale installations created by artists and art collectives from across Singapore—feel free to get crafty and make your mark in paint!

There’ll also be art installations by local artists scattered around the event space. These alluring artworks are constructed entirely out of recycled materials.

Music – Phase One Artist Lineup

While the full lineup has yet to be announced, the headliners that we can confirm include the likes of British indie band, Foals—who’ll rock your socks with their super-contagious indie bangers and highlife funk—R&B songstress, Sabrina Claudio and one of the world’s most unstoppable electro-pop duos, Gioli & Assia.

Together, they’ll combine dreamy vocals, melodic chimes and electronic heart-thumpers to transform Fort Canning Park into an all-out disco party!
