The Awakening

The Boom
Embark on a fascinating journey through time, delving into the period from 1950 to 1969. Discover the revolution in Japanese bar culture through displays filled with valuable information, Suntory ads, captivating artworks, and engaging videos.
Don’t miss the special screening of the Suntory Anniversary Tribute, directed by Academy Award winner Sofia Coppola. The film tells an incredible story of the brand’s long history and tradition of whisky-making over the course of a century; capturing the true spirit of “Suntory Time” from the perspective of its creator.
Catch the first part of a mini docu-series “The Nature and Spirit of Japan”, directed by filmmaker Roman Coppola, featuring renowned actor Keanu Reeves. This series follows the Japanese whisky culture inspired by the harmony of nature and elevated by Japanese craftsmanship.
The Bar
The Bar is a minimalist setup taking inspiration from the unique Japanese phenomenon of Tokyo listening bars. Transport to three eras of Japanese culture, with each accompanied by visual projections and playlists respective to its times. You’ll be treated to whisky flights and cocktails featuring Suntory’s exquisite limited-edition Yamazaki, Hakushu, and Ao whiskies.

Standing as the first and oldest malt whisky distillery in Japan’s history, the House of Suntory first began with the establishment of its Yamazaki Distillery in 1923.
Founder Shinjiro Torii envisioned this as a dream to “create an original Japanese whisky blessed with the richness of Japanese nature and craftsmanship”. The House of Suntory has since produced a range of exceptional spirits that are cherished worldwide in the present day.
