It is also one of the few mookata joints around that opens until 3AM daily.

2. ATC Fishing Village @Jurong Hill24/7 prawning joint

Source: ATC Fishing Village

This 24-hour joint has a unique concept in that guests are expected to fish for their own food—in this case, live prawns. Depending on how much skill you possess (or luck rather), your number of catches will determine how well fed you are at the end of the session. After you’re satisfied with your catch, proceed to the barbecue area and grill up your prawns. For recreation it’s fine, but if you’re hungry and impatient, we probably wouldn’t recommend it.

Tip: Get discounted prawning sessions via Klook.

Note: Although the official hours state that JW491 Frog Porridge opens till 3.30am, the eatery will call it a day once food is sold out. So you might want to give them a call before heading down!

6. Power Nasi Lemak – One of the best chicken wings we’ve tried

Run by Malay folks who you can trust to know a thing or two about making damn good nasi lemak, they keep their recipe relatively simple, but as authentic as possible. That means that more emphasis is placed on each and every individual component, from the fragrant coconut rice to the piquant sambal. Their chicken wings are really good so don’t be ashamed to add on an extra wing.

A solid alfresco space to unwind over a drink or two, some hot food and perhaps a game of darts, Rendezvous Bistro & Bar impresses with its commitment to quality despite its lacklustre exterior. The bistro is set in the middle of a busy office district, making it a hotspot among office workers and the like to stop by for a beer and listen to some live music. They don’t do full-on mains per se, but if you’re peckish, their array of finger foods should do the trick.

The stuffing—one of the key components that contribute to the overall deliciousness of the deep-fried snack—comprises generous portions of curried chicken, potatoes and a small piece of hard-boiled egg.
