Singapore’s iconic Marina Bay Sands has long been a cultural hub for entertainment and luxurious experiences. This year, it is set to host their inaugural music festival, ‘Where Music Takes Over’. Held from 15 July to 2 August, the festival will showcase an impressive line-up of renowned artists including the likes of The 1975, Ellie Goulding, Sabrina Carpenter, Latinfest, and The Strokes.

Coming from Manchester, The 1975 is a highly respected pop-rock band that has had a major impact since its formation in 2002. They have been acknowledged for their talent and influence in the music industry, winning the esteemed ‘Best Group’ award at the BRIT Awards twice. At this year’s BRIT Awards, they were named the ‘Best Rock/Alternative Artist’. Their latest album, ‘Being Funny in a Foreign Language’, achieved tremendous success by reaching the No.1 spot on the UK charts, marking their fifth straight album to do so.

Their music transcends genres, blending elements of glossy pop, punk, garage rock, electro-funk, and even country. They have a distinct songwriting style, exploring various subjects such as mental health, addiction, climate change, nihilism, and more.

English singer-songwriter, Ellie Goulding, is returning to Singapore this 26th of July with her ‘Higher Than Heaven’ tour.

Iconic American Rock band The Strokes will be performing their first-ever show in Singapore this 2nd August!
