SARAI: Thai Fine Dining and Cocktails in Tanglin Mall, Singapore

SARAI SG_COVER BIG

You’ve probably had Thai food many times before, but what about Thai fine dining? SARAI‘s newly revamped menu elevates Thai cuisine with distinct yet elegant flavours and in-house cocktails and mocktails infused with Thai influences. It’s truly a treat for the senses, visually and taste-wise.

The menu was designed by Chef de Cuisine Lisa, a front-runner in the culinary world with 36 years of experience, so you can bet our expectations were high! Through this menu, Chef Lisa aimed to rediscover authentic Thai flavours through each dish, using high-quality products while capturing the essence of authentically Thai ingredients.

Thai-inspired Tipples

Expect a diverse beverage menu of homemade Thai specialities, nine signature cocktails inspired by the rich Thai cuisine and culture, and various spirits, beers and wine.

Sugar & Spice

Sugar & Spice ($22)

Sugar & Spice ($22) is a smoky tipple made with bourbon, Lillet rosé, plum sugar, and orange and boasts a smoky, bittersweet profile. We also detected a hint of bananas and notes of cinnamon as well. Lovely smoked fragrance.

SARAI Rose Negroni

We highly recommend the Exploration Lunch menu ($58++/pax) if you’d like a little bit of everything from Sarai. Each dish was fresh, rich in flavour and had an outstanding balance of acidity, herbs and spice 🌶

Some of our favourites include the amuse-bouche Lab Gai, spicy and sour minced chicken salad on cucumber cup; the Cod with Chilli Lime Garlic Sauce and Wagyu Sirloin with Dou Miao Flowers and Mushrooms.

Typically you’d expect Thai food to be exceptionally spicy; however, SARAI tones down the heat to allow the natural flavours of each ingredient or herb to speak for themselves instead. We really appreciated this because the flavours became so distinct on the palate instead without the overwhelming chillies you’d typically have in most Thai dishes elsewhere. This is an excellent spot to bring family, friends, and even business associates.
