1-Group is back with the second edition of Sip & Savour, a month-long campaign celebrating the vibrant cocktail scene in Singapore from now until 26 March 2023.

Expect regional guest shifts by award-winning bars in Malaysia and Thailand, boozy brunches, grill-outs and parties; alongside a slate of dine-and-drink promotions across eight iconic 1-Group destinations i.e. 1-Altitude Coast, 1-Atico, 1-Arden, The Alkaff Mansion, MONTI, The Garage (Botanico and Bee’s Knees), The Riverhouse (Yin Bar and Zorba The Greek Taverna) and Wildseed Bar at The Summerhouse.

Early Dayz by Isz (The Dragon Chamber)

Each destination has a unique tipple created by the in-house bartenders. At the same time, the event also invites guest bartenders to craft unique tipples representing the selected venue’s essence. Johnnie Walker Gold Label is the official alcohol partner of Sip & Savour, so you’ll find it’s commonly used as the base for most cocktails. 

It’s a packed March for 1-Group, so sit tight as we give you the deets. 


VENUE: 1-ALTITUDE COAST 


The star of the show here is Aurelius ($20), created by Irwan from 1-Altitude Coast. This Tiki-inspired tipple is made with Johnnie Walker Gold and absinthe, bar-made dark spiced falernum, Elemakule tiki bitters, blue agave pineapple puree and passionfruit pulp, resulting in a fruity refresher to sip on whilst watching the sunset.

SIP AND SAVOUR 2023 SG_GARDEN PITCH_1 ARDEN

Meet Garden Pitch ($20) by Giovanni from 1-Arden Bar. This sweet, citrusy cocktail truly reflects the urban greenery surrounding the space. Its almost creamy-milky texture makes for a great tipple to start the night with. Made with Johnnie Walker Gold, peach liqueur, yuzu and orange juice, and homemade rosemary orange with a sprig of torched rosemary that adds a lovely calming fragrance.

Aptly named High As Gold ($20), this cocktail created by Logi Thasan from 1-Atico was designed to mirror the warm sunlight atop the peak of ION Orchard. 

Made with a blend of Johnnie Walker Gold, vanilla liqueur, homemade spiced syrup, and a dash of honey water that results in a syrupy pleaser balanced with hints of spice.

Prepare to be wowed by former regional Diageo World Class contenders, bar veterans Jane Kaew-yod (Diageo World Class Champion – Thailand, 2018) and Sam Wong (Diageo World Class Finalist – Singapore, 2015) in a one-night-only menu of Asian-forward cocktails against the panoramic rooftop view. 

Event: Whisky & Cocktail Dinner 

When: Thurs, 9 March

Meanwhile, diners at FIRE can explore seasonal Japanese-Peruvian and Argentinian flavours through a degustation menu ($178++) and pair their meal with guest shift and whisky cocktails (S$58++ for 2, S$98++ for 4) or a bottle of Johnnie Walker Gold Label (S$200++).

The festivities aren’t limited to events here! Until 24th March, diners at FIRE or FLNT can order a Flight of 4 Cocktails (S$22++) for the ultimate Sip & Savour experience at a steal!

Golden Glitz ($20), created by Humaira from The Alkaff Mansion, is an ode to the space’s historical identity and lush scenery. Think hints of lemongrass and decorations of homemade honey crystals for a Johnnie Walker Gold Label-based version of Whisky Sour with an old-school charm.

For one night only, talented bartenders from Budi Bar (Melaka) will serve a showcase of Malaccan flavours at the hidden bar within the historic mansion.

Exclusive Drink: Bee’s Knees

Keeping it classy and simple, Bee’s Knees featured tipple is a Johnnie Walker Highball with Housemade Fruit Tea Mixer ($16), made by Yihao, Assistant Bar Manager at The Garage.

You also get a choice of housemade fruit tea mixer: Peach, Elderflower or Yuzu. This easy, breezy highball was made for the relaxing outdoors at The Garage; perfect on a hot afternoon or warm night. 

Exclusive Drink: Botanico

SIP AND SAVOUR 2023 SG_BOTANICO_SPICED STARBURST

Also created by YihaoSpiced Starburst ($18) is a fiery one! Made with Johnnie Walker Gold Label, elderflower cordial, ginger syrup, cinnamon and a drop of star anise to uplift spirits under a canopy of leaves. Available at Botanico only.

Head to Botanico for a fun and boozy brunch! Treat yourself to a hearty 5-course brunch menu with Asian flavours (S$88), or even get (temporarily) inked by Jagua Tattoo Artist, The Little Jotter, perfect for those who wish to get inked without the commitment.

Golden Palace ($20) by Hajidi, Head Bartender at Yin Bar, was named after the Johnnie Walker Gold Label, and the palace-like space Yin Bar is housed within. It’s also made with apricot brandy, homemade cinnamon syrup, and kaffir lime leaf, a nod to the oriental identity of The Riverhouse. 

Alternatively, drinkers who prefer their whisky neat or on the rocks can opt for a bottle of Johnnie Walker Gold Label bottle; S$250 (single) or S$380 (twin) or by-the-glass ($16) at Yin Bar or Yang Club

Bringing the Italian tradition of Aperitivo to the alfresco areas of Zorba, the Greek Taverna and Yin Bar, don’t miss out on the Aperol Spritz cart by Campari Group!

Opt to enjoy the Spritz the Italian way with Hellenistic pairings of small Asian Tapas at Yin or Brunch options at Zorba and 3 Aperol cocktails at S$45.

The Prés de Miel ($22) was created by Isaac from Wildseed Bar; a tipple befitting the beautiful Summerhouse garden. Made with raspberry liqueur, strawberry syrup, chocolate bitters, lemon and egg white into foam, before finishing splashes of soda.

Black Angus Ribeye (S$52++) marinated in Johnnie Walker’s Gold Label Whiskey? Say no more, we’re there! This smoky, tender roast beef is served with a crisp side of corn salad and a creamy bearnaise sauce. 

Event: Sip & Savour Closing Grill-out Party 

When: Sun, 26 March

Closing Sip & Savour with a bang, don’t miss the grill-out party with a barrage of cocktails at the Gardens of The Summerhouse! Expect live performances, flame-sizzled meats and seafood by the Wildseed Bar team. You can even pair your orders with all eight Sip & Savour-exclusive cocktails; plus, you’re in for a surprise rotation of guest bartenders for an epic Sunday!


MONTI 


Event: Italian ‘Eat-All-You-Can’ Sip & Savour Brunch x Aperol

Held in collaboration with the Campari Group, MONTI’s Eat-All-You-Can (and drink) brunch at $88++/pax, is worth blocking out your calendars for. 

Based on its Colapranzo menu of breakfast (Colazione) and lunch (Pranzo) favourites, diners can fill themselves to the brim by ordering adjusted serves of anything on the menu, including The Monti Eggs Benedict, Truffle Risotto, Slow Cooked Beef Cheek and Spicy Italian Sausage and more. 

It’s not an Italian theme without an Aperol Spritz! Campari Group will bring its mobile Aperol cart to pour endless serves of the refreshing tipple, with orange-themed decorations and a goodie bag of picture-worthy props.
