3. No. 5 Emerald Hill – One-for-one martini after 9:00 pm
No. 5 on Emerald Hill is a chic Peranakan-inspired bar that exudes an air of nostalgia with thin oak wood panels, worn-out furnitures and black and white pictures dating back to the 90s that are plastered against the walls.
Possibly the oldest cocktail bar in Singapore, No. 5 on Emerald Hill offers an array of tantalising bar bites such as Har Cheong Kai chicken wings and a selection of pizzas. From noon to 9:00 pm daily, gentlemen’s pours are available – where one is served 45 ml of cocktails, instead of the standard 30ml. 4. Ice-Cold Beer – S$11 nett per pint of Hoegaarden
Ice-Cold Beer has been occupying the refurbished 1910 Peranakan shophouse since 1994 and offering customers unpretentious ice-cold beers from a custom-built ice tank. Holding over 60 different types of beers, these beer bottles are chilled to the optimum temperature, allowing its coldness to last up to eight minutes upon serving.
Customers are entitled to deals such as S$11 nett per pint of Hoegaarden and S$23 nett for a jug of Stella Artois during happy hour!
