Sunburn Festival 2019 (Goa, India): Asia’s Biggest EDM Party

Come this December from the 27th to the 29th, Sunburn Festival returns to its birthplace in Goa. The three-day event will be held at Vagator Beach, known for its striking red cliffs, clear beaches and picture-perfect sunsets.

Given its commitment to elaborate stage designs, visuals, lighting effects and a killer lineup of world-renowned artists, some people have gone as far as to label Sunburn, ‘the Tomorrowland of Asia’. In fact, so big is Sunburn that it’s currently ranked the world’s 3rd largest music festival, only falling behind Tomorrowland and Ultra.

The Tomorrowland Of Asia

Sunburn was first inaugurated back in 2007 and the dance festival took Goa by storm. Year after year, it has proven itself as India’s pioneering dance music festival. Fast forward to today, the event has swelled, attracting over 300,000 guests each year from close to 52 countries with its colossal stages, unbeatable lineups and ecstatic carnival atmosphere.

Truth be told, it’s the only festival in Asia listed on DJ Mag’s “Top 50 festivals 2019, voted for by DJs themselves. Previous editions have hosted some of the world’s best DJs including the likes of the late Avicii, Armin Van Buuren, KSHMR, Dash Berlin, Deadmau5 and Swedish House Mafia.

Artist Lineup

Headlining this year’s festival are some of the DJ world’s greats. We’re talking about EDM hotshots like The Chainsmokers, Flume, Martin Garrix and DJ Snake.
