Each of the 32 cocktails was born out of the innovation, creativity and essence of what 28 Hong Kong Street is. These unique creations are presented by labels such as AMASS, Maison Ferrand, Michter’s and more. Get comfy as you sip on the delectable tipples and you can even scan the Spotify code on each menu to listen to a curated playlist inspired by each concept, to fully immerse yourself in the experience and get in the zone.

Sin & Misery

28 Hongkong Street King Tut Spritz Singapore
King Tut Spritz ($25)

Travel to The Oldham Hotel, an intimate and ‘elegantly wasted’ hotel, at the first stop on the bar crawl – Sin & Misery. The King Tut Spritz ($25), made with Citadelle Jardin d’Été gin, celery, aperitif wine, bergamot and bubbles, is everything you’d imagine it to be – a refreshing, vegetal, botanical tipple to start the night with. Each ingredient is distinct is unfolds in layers with each sip, like how the nose is rather herbal, yet it’s mildly sweet on the palate and the vegetal taste comes through more strongly on the finish.

P.s. If you’re wondering what celery has to do with King Tutankhamun, historians actually discovered garlands made with wild celery leaves and other plants, when they unearthed the Pharoah’s body.

Other offerings on the menu include the refreshing and savoury Brick Lane Martini ($25) and rich and boozy, opt for MidTown Manhattan ($25), among others.

Brenda’s Bad Hand

28HKS Pickleback Sour and Hard Pour Corn Singapore
Left: Pickleback Sour ($25), Right: Hard Pour Corn ($25)

Described as Singapore’s best Honky Tonk bar, giving us gun-slinging cowboy and saloon vibes. Treat yourself to the briny and rich Pickleback Sour ($25) that’s made with Michter’s Rye, Mancino Bianco Vermouth, cucumber, dill and Albumen (egg white). It has just the right amount of herbal notes, and briny acidity, combined with savouriness and an almost creamy mouthfeel. We have a soft spot for savoury tipples and this one really hit the spot, especially with the huge pickle. Mmmm mmm.

At this point, we could really do with some hard core drinks we mean, Hard Pour Corn ($25). Made with Secco Vermouth, Corn Orxata, lime, vanilla and smoke, this was a well-balanced, nutty tipple with a hint of citrus.

Halogen

28HKS Halogen Cocktails Singapore
Left to right: Vodka-Cran-22, Cllub Caffe, Flight Of The Concords, Brass Butterfly, Hue Bluwaiian

Travel back in time to a 90s nightclub with a whole lotta fun, techno and disco, sans the disco ball. If you’re feeling a little tropical, go for the Hue Bluwaiian ($25) made with Plantation Pineapple Rum, coconut, Blue Curacao, sherry, and lime – this one really hits the spot in our heat! Relive your clubbing days (but elevated) with the fizzy and refreshing Vodka-Cran-22 ($25), made with Reyka Vodka, cranberry, Mancino Bianco Vermouth, bay leaf and pink peppercorn.

28 HongKong Street

28HKS Black Forest Negroni Singapore
Black Forest Negroni ($25)

Who could forget the OGs? This tribute to the team is a refreshed menu with eight signature tipples. Lovers of the classics can try the Black Forest Negroni ($25) – a German makeover on an Italian favourite! Mixed with Diplomatico Mantuano Rum, Campari, cacao nibs, Mancino Rosso Vermouth, Taylors Ruby Port and dried cherries, this was like a true Black Forest Cake in a drink, with characteristic bitters of a Negroni in the finish. It’s not as bitter and herbal as the original, but still as rich and boozy.

28 Hongkong Street Fancy Champagne Cocktail Singapore
Fancy Champagne Cocktail ($35)

Call us fancy if you will, but we just had to try the Fancy Champagne Cocktail ($35). Where else are you going to find a cocktail that has Ferrand 10 Generations Cognac, nori black sugar and Telmont Champagne right? And y’know what? Absolutely no regrets. It was everything we dreamt it would be – the decadent combination of Cognac and Champagne was boozy, yet very smooth with a hint of refreshing bubbles.

Whether or not you’ve been to 28 HongKong Street, their revamped bar crawl menu is an interesting concept worth trying and going back again and again to enjoy.
