2. Mizunara: The Library
As far as authentic, sophisticated Japanese-style whisky bars go, Mizunara: The Library in Wan Chai knocks it way out of the park. Curating a list of over 700 labels of rare and premium whiskies primarily from Japan and Scotland, as well as putting together a list of polished signature cocktails. In light of the COVID-19 pandemic, they’ve come up with a list of cocktails encompassing 9 of bottled cocktails along with a wide selection of whiskies and other spirits to go.

3. Tell Camellia
Hidden in an alley underneath hip, lifestyle building H Code in Central, Tell Camellia goes beyond the average cocktail bar by offering a well-curated menu of nine cocktails that beautifully marries a range of tea and gin, made by harnessing modern techniques and cutting-edge equipment. They’ve made a selection of their crowd-favourite cocktails available in pre-batched and bottled form. The cocktails available include T-Tonic, Matcha Vodka, Matcha Martini and Darjeeling Negroni.

4. The Old Man Hong Kong
This Ernest Hemingway-inspired cocktail bar is not a name that’s unheard of in the drinks scene. In fact, they rank high among some of Asia’s bar heavyweights. Their repertoire of imbibes is inspired and built around Hemingway’s favourite drinks, spirits and flavours, so expect the unexpected.
They have six cocktails available for takeaway—4 signatures and 2 inspired by Hemingway’s favourite drinks—the humble Old Fashioned and a Guava Negroni. Bottled cocktails are good and ready for delivery but note that a lead time of 1 to 2 days is needed for necessary prep. Ice and garnishes are provided and each cocktail will keep to up to a week.

5. The Shady Acres
Free-spirited and convivial neighbourhood wine bar, The Shady Acres, is most notably acclaimed for its impressive range of wines from across the world, which including biodynamic and natural wines as well, giving them an edge over the other players in Hong Kong’s wine scene. 6. The Wise King
Inspired by Alfonso X of Castile, a 13th-century Spanish monarch who allegedly laid claim to the decree that alcohol can only be served alongside food, The Wise King (No. 18 on Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2019) is a cosy lounge venue that boasts sensational drinks and an elaborate tapas menu. On the takeaway front, their signature Negroni cocktails (King’s and Washed) are up for grabs—both are available in 750ml quantities.

Located in the heart of Central, Whisky & Words is a cosy and elegant speakeasy dedicated to all things whisky—as if their carefully curated collection of over 300 varieties isn’t already indicative of that.
