Lunar is the second limited edition expression from Master Distiller, Ms. Lesley Gracie’s exclusive Cabinet of Curiosities collection. The alluring cosmic-themed gin is rich with night-blooming floral essence and offers a delicate balance of warm-baked spices with a crisp citrus finish.
Cosmic Lunar Cocktails & Moonbathing At Smoke & Mirrors
In conjunction with the launch, Hendrick’s has partnered with local cocktail bar Smoke & Mirrors to bring tipplers an enchanting cocktail and moon-bathing experience. This exclusive menu is available from now until 29 January 2022.
Treat yourselves to the Lunar-inspired menu of three unique tipples created by the Smoke & Mirrors team; as well as a selection of sweet and savoury bites, while basking in the moonlight.
Lunar Pixie ($27)
Inspired by the pixies of folklore, this gorgeous cocktail is characterised by deep, floral aromatics from the gin; laced with Lychee-Coconut & Wolfberry Cordial and finished with Orange Bitters and a spritz of fairy dust! A sweet, fruity and balanced cocktail that brings delight with each sip. It’s worth mentioning that the Wolfberry adds a touch of earthiness that’s matched with the Lychee’s sweetness.

Harvest Moon ($26)
Celebrate our connection to nature and the moon with this cocktail. What to expect: A floral core, subtle tartness and a delightful slight bitter finish. Made with Hendrick’s Lunar Gin, Cynar, Lime, Grapefruit, Egg White and Prosecco. The creaminess comes from the egg white, and the acidity of the citrus fruits cuts through it nicely, with the bubblies adding to the crisp finish.
Elixir of Legolas ($28)
If you’re a Lord of The Rings fan, this bubbly concoction will excite you in more ways than one! Inspired by the hunky Elvish Princeling after a night of drinks with Gimli, this bold cocktail is where fun meets flavour. It’s concocted with Lunar Gin, Bergamot Liqueur, Cardamom Cordial, and Peach Soda to create a complex, aromatic, sweet and zesty cocktail.
Savoury & Sweet Moonlight Bites
We recommend starting with the Golden Tater Tots ($8), which is a perfect appetiser. Lightly fried to a crisp with an excellent potato-cheddar cheese ratio – we polished this one off!
If you’re still hungry, try the La Luna Pizza ($22), a thin-crusted round tortilla pizza topped with figs, walnuts, shallots, mozzarella, goat’s cheese, cheddar and drizzled with olive oil. This was a unique balance of sweet-savoury in each bite, and the flavours surprisingly came together nicely.
They say there’s an extra stomach for dessert, so try the Crescent Flan ($6), an orange and vanilla custard topped with caramel sauce and honey stars. Distinct citrus flavours paired well with the creamy, rich custard, and the caramel sauce enhanced the overall taste with a touch of smokiness.
