Tomorrowland Around The World: Digital Festival (25 & 26 July 2020)

Tomorrowland Around The World

Every EDM fan and festival-going fanatic will tell you that Tomorrowland, EDM music’s most legendary music festival, ranks high (if not at the very top) of their bucket list. With Covid-19 affecting the entire world, news that this annual powerhouse event would be cancelled broke the hearts of millions worldwide—until now. Yes, our prayers have been answered. Tomorrowland will be organising its own virtual show entitled: Tomorrowland Around The World.

With every high-key music festival having to resort to live-streaming in light of the global cancellation of events, it’s unsurprising that Tomorrowland would soon follow suit. Among the ranks of this year’s lineup, get stoked for the likes of David Guetta, Afrojack, Armin Van Buuren, Steve Aoki, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Martin Garrix and many, many more.

If you’ve never physically been to Tomorrowland, here’s your chance to experience it!

Tomorrowland Goes Virtual

Tomorrowland Around The World 2020

Set to entertain fans of EDM from across the world, many of whom probably had their Tomorrowland 2020 plans stifled due to the pandemic, Tomorrowland Around The World will be happening over the course of two days, offering a jam-packed schedule of things to see, do, and experience—all from the comfort and convenience of home.

Similar to former real-life editions of Tomorrowland, the festival will be segregated into multiple (virtual) stages, with each one featuring a host of iconic acts. Oh and don’t worry, pyrotechnics, lasers and firework displays will very much pay a pivotal role in the festival.

The festival will feature eight virtual stages designed and created by Tomorrowland’s 3D artists and creative teams, modelled after Tomorrowland’s whimsy stages. Replete with cutting-edge effects, light and laser displays and more, sit tight because it’s going to be a bumpy ride. You’ll even get to “explore” the festival grounds as though you were physically there. The eight stages are MainStage, Atmosphere, Core, Cave, Moosebar, The Wall, Elixir and lastly, Freedom.

A multi-sensory experience from the comfort of your own home, we suppose it’s safe to say that not even a pandemic like COVID-19 can stop the unbeatable force that is our combined love for music.

“We hope that hundreds of thousands of people will unite in a responsible way and that small Tomorrowland gathering at people’s homes – from Canada to Australia, from Japan to Brazil and everywhere in between – will be organised,” says Tomorrowland co-founder, Michiel Beers.

“Especially during the weekend where normally Tomorrowland Belgium would take place, we really have the power to unite the world.”
