Since its inception in early 2002, Global Dance Festival has been a mainstay in the electronic dance music (EDM) scene. Fans of this genre consider it to be one of the biggest, most intense culminations of the industry’s best DJs. Indeed, with over 40 back-to-back acts spread across two days, Global Dance Festival is an experience unlike any other.
Global Dance Festival has been growing in scope annually and evolving to become a highlight for even the most demanding ravers. Fans took it rough when they announced that they would be cancelling the event in light of the Coronavirus pandemic. That is until they recently announced that the event would still carry on via a two-day live stream.

Global Dance Music Festival
Aptly renamed as “Global Dance Digital Festival”, the two-day live stream event will take place via Cardinal Now’s Twitch channel on Saturday, 9 May 2020 and Sunday, 10 May 2020. Last year’s edition featured the likes of Galantis, Krewella, Kaskade, Diplo and many more astounding acts, so you can only imagine how epic this year’s edition (albeit a virtual one) is going to be!
The Global Dance Festival stems from the underground rave scene of Denver, the capital of Colorado, USA. Connecting religious EDM fans to a wide array of acts old and new; their lineups always contain the biggest names in EDM along with a slew of new acts which gives fans the dilemma – which acts should they focus on at the event?
Global Dance’s Lineup
Following the news that Global Dance Digital Festival wasn’t going to go out without a fight, event organisers went on to drop one of the sickest lineups featuring a whole host of top trap and bass music acts. Preforming for this live stream event will be artists such as Big Gigantic, Crankdat, Hex Cougar, Nitti Gritti and many, many more bona fide DJ acts.
Round up your fellow ravers via Zoom and tune in from 9th – 10th May for performances from your favourite DJs. You may also do your part to raise money for Direct Relief (100% of proceeds will help to fight COVID-19).
